The Harrow Little Lions Curriculum, tailored for AISL Harrow Schools, embodies a holistic approach to early childhood education, incorporating global best practices.

Our curriculum integrates our core values of courage, humility, fellowship, and honour. We pride ourselves on being a British school in the heart of Hong Kong. The pupils’ learning keeps in the traditions of Harrow Schools, whilst celebrating the culture and traditions of Hong Kong.

We use a book-based pedagogy, where we “build from the book,” utilizing content-rich texts to drive our learning journey. Through this approach, we immerse children in captivating narratives to ignite a passion for exploration.

We prioritize the interests and curiosities of our young learners, nurturing them through child-centered experiences. Our curriculum is flexible and responsive, allowing children’s interests to guide the direction of their educational journey.

Our vision of Turning Pages, sparking curiosity; nurturing learners through child-centred experiences, encapsulates our commitment to engaging children in the joy of discovery. By delving into rich and diverse literature, we aim to ignite curiosity and cultivate a lifelong love for learning.

The curriculum is organized around ten Learning Domains and five Learning Disciplines. The Learning Domains focus on essential content areas, ensuring children develop the necessary knowledge and skills. The Learning Disciplines, on the other hand, facilitate learning behaviours crucial for lifelong learning and intellectual pursuits.

Our curriculum is structured to cater to children aged 3-5, with programs for Nursery (3 to 4 years old) and Reception (4 to 5 years old). It emphasizes cognitive development, memory, attention, and observation, alongside the acquisition of specific knowledge in various subjects.

We provide a forward-looking and ambitious curriculum that prepares children to be well-informed, creative, and responsible citizens. Through stimulating environments and culturally relevant spaces, we instill a sense of curiosity and readiness for future challenges.
