Learning Environment
The Early Years Foundation Stage is based around a strong philosophy of indoor and outdoor exploration and play. Pupils are housed in dedicated classrooms each with its own interactive whiteboard and access to laptops, iPads as well as pre-coding using Osmo and Matatalab.
Our learning environments are designed to provoke curiosity and maximize learning potential. We create spaces that reflect the children’s cultures and communities, fostering meaningful interactions and exploration through play and teacher child interactions.
Our facilities include:
- Sandpit and Mud Kitchen
- Adventure Playground
- Shared Atelier Space
- STEAM Room
- Outdoor Terrace
- Water Play
- Outdoor Construction
The Centre provides a large shared area, used for dining, hosting special events, performances and meetings for parents. Additionally, there is our STEAM Centre which is also used for assemblies. A secure outdoor space spans the length of the building and provides every class with easy access to the outdoor terrace.
This combination of a robust curriculum and excellent facilities serves to provide the children with solid foundations in readiness for their transition to Year 1 in the Pre-Prep School.
